Conventional agricultural crop production data

This dataset contains data on agricultural crop production. The agricultural crop in this dataset includes barley, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, hay, oats, rice, soybeans, and wheat, and the dataset was obtained from the database of the 2023 Billion-Ton Report (Davis et al., 2024) for the Feedstock Production Emissions to Air Model (FPEAM).

Sqmi: This indicates the total area of the county in square miles including water.
Till: This indicates the tillage class. “NT” indicates no tillage, “RT” indicates reduced tillage, and “CT” indicates conventional tillage.
Model_name: This indicates the source of data from the Policy Analysis System (POLYSYS) model.
Scenario_name: This indicates the name of the scenario defined in the 2023 Billion-Ton Report. “mm” indicates mature market scenario, and it also contains “low”, “high”, and “emerging” scenarios.
Prc_ofr: This indicates a price offered for a ton of biomass.
Prod: This indicates the total production of the agricultural crop in biomass dry ton.
Harvest: This indicates the total harvested area in acres.
Yield_at_harverst: This indicates the yield with corresponding units at the time of harvest.
Mean_annual_yield_at_harvest: This indicates the mean annual yield at this time of harvest with defined units.
Produnit: This indicates the unit of production.
Yldunit: This indicates the unit of yield.
Btu_ton: This indicates the energy contents in British Thermal Unit (BTU) per biomass dry ton.
Production_energy_content: This indicates the total energy contents in BTU which is production tons multiplied by BTU/ton.
Energy_content_unit: This indicates the unit of energy content.
Prodens_dtpersqmi: This indicates a production divided by the total area of the county.
Landsrce: This indicates the type of agricultural land defined at onset of simulation.
Year: This indicates the year.
Rotation: This indicates the defined rotation of relevant resources (oilseeds) modeled in the Policy Analysis System (POLYSYS) model.
